Join a team that values excellence, integrity, and compassion in patient care. At Virtuous Wellness, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Biller to ensure accurate and timely processing of medical claims and patient Account Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Claims Management:

Submit clean and accurate claims (paper and electronic) promptly.
Identify and correct payment discrepancies within 3 days of EOB receipt.
Research and appeal denied claims to secure reimbursement within 60 days of the initial attempt.
Maintain updated knowledge of medical billing regulations, trends, HIPAA compliance, and insurance coding policies.

Insurance Verification & Patient Accounts:

Verify patient eligibility and benefits before treatment begins.
Obtain required authorizations and referrals throughout the course of care.
Set up and manage patient payment plans and handle billing inquiries professionally.
Generate and distribute patient statements weekly, and review accounts for completeness.

Accounting & Reporting:

Enter payments into billing software daily and reconcile records in QuickBooks.
Categorize expenses and attach required documentation to each transaction.
Provide weekly accounting updates and monthly productivity reports to the Manager.
Participate in monthly reconciliation and reporting of A/R and clinic financial metrics.

Communication & Collaboration:

Serve as the liaison between clinical staff, admin, and patients to ensure accurate billing.
Maintain high standards of professional communication via Virtuous Wellness email and phone systems.
Communicate cost-of-care details clearly to patients and staff.
Actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and 1:1 reviews.

Administrative Support & Team Leadership:

Support onboarding and training of new staff.
Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Assist in identifying issues or trends affecting billing and reimbursement.
Support marketing efforts by promoting referral programs and participating in outreach events.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in medical billing and insurance claims processing
Strong knowledge of HIPAA, insurance guidelines, CPT/ICD coding, and billing software
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
